Early Life and Career
David Paul Boreanaz was born on May 16, 1969, in Buffalo, New York. He is the son of Patti, a travel agent, and Dave Roberts, a weather forecaster. Boreanaz grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Malvern Preparatory School and Ithaca College. He began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in small roles in television shows such as Married... with Children and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Breakthrough Role on Buffy
Boreanaz's breakthrough role came in 1997 when he was cast as Angel, a vampire with a soul, on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
